An important architectural work, typical of Italian rationalism; at 127 meters tall, spread over 31 floors (with another 2 floors underground), it is one of the most imposing reinforced concrete buildings in the world.
The building was constructed between 1956 and 1960 based on a design by Gio Ponti, Giuseppe Valtolina, Pier Luigi Nervi, Antonio Fornaroli, Alberto Rosselli, Giuseppe Rinardi, and Egidio Dell'Orto; Ponti also directed all phases of construction. The structural aspect was overseen by Giuseppe Valtolina, in collaboration with consultants Pier Luigi Nervi, Arturo Danusso, Piero Locatelli, and Guglielmo Meardi.
The Pirelli Tower is one of the symbols of contemporary Milan and was the city's tallest building for nearly 50 years.
3D scale model, with details of the windows and the observation area, made of PLA.
